TarotAtlas Review: Does This Platform Deliver the Cards You Need?

TarotAtlas Review

I was asked to give an honest review about my experience with TarotAtlas.com, an online tarot reading service. Given my 20+ years of experience conducting intuitive and tarot readings, both online through my own websites and offline in my private studio, I might not be the most typical customer. However, I approached this with an open mind, aiming to offer a balanced and unbiased perspective. Here are my thoughts on TarotAtlas, based on my hands-on experience.

What TarotAtlas Is About

TarotAtlas aims to make tarot guidance accessible to everyone, regardless of location, language, or budget. They emphasize the healing power of tarot as a tool for insight, growth, and clarity. Their mission is to provide a supportive, inclusive platform where users can explore their questions without judgment. They describe their service as a community of intuitive readers and seekers who share a passion for the ancient wisdom of the tarot.

Their readers, whom they refer to as ‘Masters,’ are presented as seasoned practitioners with a deep understanding of tarot symbolism and interpretation. According to the site, each reader has at least two years of experience and a genuine calling to help others find guidance through tarot. The platform promotes transparency, emphasizing honesty, compassion, and accessibility as core values. They aim to create a safe space for users to explore their spiritual paths and make informed choices based on the insights they receive.

Online Review for TarotAtlas

TarotAtlas’s guiding principles include:

  • Honesty and Openness: Providing straightforward, unfiltered readings without sugarcoating.
  • Compassion: Prioritizing the emotional and spiritual well-being of their users.
  • Accessibility: Offering 24/7 availability in multiple languages to make tarot accessible to a global audience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Viewing each reading as an opportunity for both the reader and the seeker to grow spiritually.

Overall, the site presents itself as a supportive, empathic space where tarot enthusiasts can seek clarity and comfort, with a commitment to providing affordable, authentic readings.

How It Works

To get started with TarotAtlas, you need to create an account using your email and a password. Once registered, you receive five free credits, which can be used to ask your first question.

The free question options include either a straightforward ‘yes or no’ reading or a ‘your love today’ reading. These initial options are essentially quickie readings. They’re short, to-the-point responses that offer a glimpse into a particular issue without much depth.

While this approach might appeal to newcomers, it’s a bit limiting for more seasoned tarot enthusiasts who may be seeking more nuanced guidance.

Pricing & Question Options

After using your initial free question, you’ll need to purchase additional credits for further readings. Credits are priced at roughly $1 each, with the smallest reading costing 5 credits ($5). The site offers various reading types, including:

  • Celtic Cross
  • Career/Job
  • Three-Card
  • Travel
  • Finance
  • “Who am I?”
  • Education
  • Choice/Decision to Make
  • Dating/Relationship
  • Relocation
  • New Beginnings

Higher-tier readings, such as the ‘Life Purpose’ option, cost 50 credits ($50), while the most expensive option, the ‘One Year Spread,’ is priced at 100 credits ($100). However, the site does not provide detailed descriptions for these more costly readings, which can make it challenging for users to assess the value before committing.

Payment is handled through Link, a third-party service that supports most major credit cards but does not include PayPal as a payment option. I researched Link and found that it is a secure, PCI Level 1 certified payment processor, which means it adheres to the highest industry standards for data protection.

User Experience

From a usability standpoint, the site is straightforward and easy to navigate. The dashboard, which houses your profile, wallet (credit balance), and past readings, is clean and intuitive.

However, I noticed the lack of certain features that some users might appreciate, like the ability to upload a profile picture or customize their user profile for a more personalized experience. This isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but it might be for others who prefer a more immersive platform.

The Reading

TarotAtlas Review

For my first free reading, I concocted a general question, which was:

My Question:

Please tell me if my financial situation will improve and what steps I should take to encourage better outcomes.’

I received a response 14 hours later, which was fine, as I had submitted my question before heading to bed & it was ready for me the next morning.

The Answer:

In the next three months (specifically during the summer), your financial situation will improve thanks to the help and support of people close to you — possibly family or relatives. You will feel more grounded and reach a new level of financial stability. You’ll feel proud of yourself and happy that things finally worked out.

However, this positive shift will be preceded by certain events and circumstances such as sudden changes, unexpected and rapid collapse of plans and hopes. There may be losses, failed deals, broken agreements, or conflicts. Still, you will come out of these situations as a winner — although it won’t be easy. Only after that will life offer you a chance that will drastically change everything for the better.

To improve your financial position, you should become more independent and confident, build your own zone of financial comfort, create passive income or rely on your skills and reputation. Take advantage of the opportunities fate offers — don’t miss your chance. It might already be near, and it’s important not to fear change. Set goals, focus on fulfilling your personal needs — but without laziness or stagnation. Learn new things, grow, invest in education or new projects, invest in your future, and listen to your intuition.”

The answer I received was 204 words long, offering a broad, somewhat generic forecast.

I ran this text response through two AI-detection apps, and it came back as 100% human-written, so that’s a good thing, and underscores TarotAtlas’ claim to use only experienced human tarot readers.

The response was encouraging but lacked the specific insights I typically look for in a reading. It felt more like a life coach’s pep talk than a true tarot reading, which might appeal to some users but left me wanting more depth and nuance.

Then again, brevity is usually the gist in a “quickie” yes/no reading such as this, so I might be being overly critical considering my preferences and background as a battle-hardened, certified tarot reader.

My Biggest Complaint

The absence of tarot card imagery in my response was a significant letdown. As someone who values the visual symbolism of tarot, I found it disappointing that the cards drawn for my reading were not included.

Seeing the cards is a crucial part of the experience, as it allows the querent to engage more deeply with the reading and draw their own intuitive insights. Without this, the interaction felt more like a text-based coaching session than a traditional tarot reading.

It just makes sense to show the querent what cards were pulled on their behalf, so I was surprised they weren’t revealed in the response provided.

Additionally, I had no sense of who my reader was. The site does feature profiles of its ‘Masters’ on the homepage, including their experience levels and preferred tarot styles, but this information was not linked to my actual reading. It felt impersonal and disconnected, lacking the human touch that makes tarot readings meaningful.

Final Assessment of TarotAtlas

TarotAtlas has potential as a platform, but it falls short in a few critical areas. To truly resonate with tarot enthusiasts, it needs to offer a more personalized experience, including card imagery and the option to know more about the reader behind the response.

The lack of these features left the experience feeling somewhat hollow and mechanical, despite the humanesque response.

Perhaps if I paid the money for a more in-depth reading, this TarotAtlas review would look different. I’m just giving you my honest opinion based on the free, basic reading.

From my experience, TarotAtlas is quick, easy to use, affordable, and provides practical guidance in response to the basic question I presented.

That said, if you’re looking for a simple, low-cost entry into the world of online tarot readings, this platform might be a good fit.
